2021 Crucial Point Award Recipients

We’re excited to announce the inaugural class of the GOTU Crucial Point Award Recipients. The 2021 class consists of an amazing group of people and movements that are being recognized for their outstanding grassroots efforts in advancing the fight against sexual assault and abuse all while increasing the visibility of survivors.

GOTU (formerly THE U.P.) Crucial Point Award is an annual award given to people and organizations that delve beyond the surface of sex crimes to focus on overlooked niches of survivorship. They then bring these specific topics to mainstream platforms to increase public awareness and effectively drive social change. Winners of this award demonstrate a clear understanding of the specific needs of the sexual assault and abuse survivorship community and help implement real solutions.

The 2021 recipients were part of a group of 100+ candidates who were identified by GOTU Founder & CEO, TL Robinson, and reviewed against the following criteria: platform, consistency, social impact, longevity of results and community connection. Per the results of this review, we are pleased to announce the GOTU 2021 Crucial Point Award Recipients.:
